Casey, Crime Photographer - Acquitted

Casey and Ann are in a sparsely filled courtroom, waiting for the jury to render their verdict.  The foreman stands up and says we find the defendant not guilty. The defendant, Lenny Waldo has been acquitted.  His attorney, Dan Freeman, had somehow managed to wrongly convince the jury that Detective Mike Ryan, a good police officer, has beaten Waldo into making a confession.  As a result of this case, The Police Commissioner suspends Ryan from the police force. Later, Casey and Ann were at the Blue Note bar discussing the case when Casey gets a phone call telling him that Lenny Waldo and Dan Freeman have both been shot, and Mike Ryan is accused of the crime.
