The Adventures of Rocky Jordan - The St. Louis Blues

Rocky notices an article in the newspaper about an old friend named Ted Polansky from St. Louis.  Ted was a victim of an attempted murder, found near a canal in Cairo with a knife in his back and unable to identify his attacker. He was taken to the Cairo General Hospital.  Rocky goes to visit him, but is not welcomed.  Later, while back at the Cafe Tambourine, Rocky has a visitor, Mrs. Cora Sanders, who was once married to Ted.  It seems that Ted has turned his back on everyone who knew him.  Rocky goes to the U.S Embassy to find some information about him.  On the way back, Rocky meets someone who warns him not to contact Ted Polansky again.
