Whitehall 1212 - The Case of Arthur Freeman

At 10 o'clock on the morning of April third, Anthony DeBruin, a young stockbroker clerk was walking with his fiancée into Howard's Jewelry Shop on Charlotte Street in London.  The couple were there to shop for an engagement ring. Suddenly, two masked robbers came into the store. In the confusion, no jewelry was actually stolen, but there was one casualty, Anthony was shot in the head.  Chief Superintendent John Davidson of Scotland Yard was assigned to the case.
