Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar - The Johnson Payroll Matter

Johnny gets a call from, and subsequently meets, with Pat McCracken at the Universal Adjustment Bureau headquarters in Hartford, Connecticut. Johnny says "Pat, what's the deal?" He says "Did you hear about the Johnson payroll robbery last week down in New York?" Johnny says "I read about it but there weren't too many details". Pat says "They got 100,000 dollars, and the payroll was insured by one of the companies we represent". Johnny asks "How many were in on the robbery?" Pat says "We're not sure, but there were several. One of them was fatally wounded". Johnny asks "Was he able to talk before he died?" Pat says "Yeah, just enough to tell us that the plan was to split up after the robbery, then meet in another city to divide the loot". Johnny says "You think it's out in California". Pat says "We also think one of the crooks may be trying to double cross the others". Johnny says "Hiding out from them, maybe?" Pat says "That's the general idea. We got a call from Los Angeles this morning from a fellow who wouldn't give his name, but he claimed he could give us a lead on the one who has the dough, for a price of course. So, you are to meet him in Los Angeles and find out what he knows. Johnny says "Alright, how do I contact this man?" Pat says "He will contact you at the Hotel Nestor".
